London Heathside 5
Finsbury Park, 4 March 2007
A soggy sober morning in Finsbury Park. Last time I was in Finsbury Park was last year and I was pissed and watching Graham Coxon. I also saw Bananarama there the year before, but I probably shouldn’t admit to that.
T-shirt is quite nice, although a little big. Ok, a lot big.

Hated this race. Don’t know why. Just hated it. Hate the t-shirt too. The marshalls were nice though.
There’s nothing printed on the back. They could have printed a life-size helicopter landing strip though if they’d wanted too, it’s that big.

I enjoyed this one, despite falling over a football and ending up flat on my face. Got a nice t-shirt too. Result.

Hmm, the less said about this one the better, I think. I didn’t get a t-shirt because I stomped off in a sulk because I’d gone the wrong way and forgot to stomp back and get my goody bag before stomping off again to the pub. Gary did offer me his t-shirt but I was still sulking. I took the little wooden elephant off him though.

My first race, aah, bless. Crappy t-shirt though, far too thick and hot to run in on a June evening and apparently it’s also the name of some Christian organisation or something as on my way home, a man stopped in his car and said was I a member of Crisis? I said huh? He said my girlfriend’s a member, her church runs it. I said oh and continued on my way to the offy.
I have fond memories of this race, probably because it was my first race and not because I was unable to walk for two months afterwards.

I did the heathside race (nearly put rave) last year, it was the multiple laps i hated plus that hill you had to run up each time true torture.
If i can ask a question How did you get the bar up the top of your page don’t know what to call it where you have mmenus such as Home Races Gadgets Recipes
